Terms of Use

Effective 29 September 2026

FateCast is entertainment. Read it for fun, and do not use it to make decisions about your health, money, or legal affairs.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using FateCast you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply alongside the Privacy Policy.

2. What FateCast is

FateCast provides astrological and astronomical content. The positions of the sun, moon, and planets it displays are calculated from astronomical data. The interpretation layered on top of those positions, including any "fate" or "change your fate" feature, is creative writing for entertainment.

3. Not professional advice

FateCast is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing in the app is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or investment advice. Please do not use it as a basis for decisions in any of those areas, and consult a qualified professional instead.

Readings are not statements of fact. They are interpretations offered for enjoyment and reflection.

4. Your chart

You are responsible for entering your birth date and time accurately. A rising sign is highly sensitive to birth time — an approximate time produces an approximate rising sign, and the app will tell you when it is working from an estimate. FateCast cannot correct an incorrect birth time for you.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Fate changes and subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases through the App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled by Apple and Google under their own terms, and prices may vary by region and currency.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the current period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel or manage your subscription in your device's store settings or in the store's subscription management screen.

Your subscription includes a monthly allowance of fate changes. Any unused allowance does not roll over into the following month.

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their respective refund policies. Where a purchase was made through Apple's App Store, we may not be able to process a refund directly — the request should be directed to Apple.

6. Fair use

Fate changes are limited for the service to stay affordable. Please do not attempt to circumvent purchase limits, automate access, scrape the app, or redistribute its content. Do not use FateCast to break the law or to harass anyone.

7. Availability

FateCast is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and readings may change over time as the product develops.

8. Intellectual property

FateCast, including its name, design, artwork, copy, and software, belongs to us and our licensors. The astronomical data it uses is public-domain. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content without our written permission.

9. Third-party services

The app uses third-party services including the App Store and Google Play for purchases, RevenueCat for subscription status, and Google AdMob for advertising. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of FateCast. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app or breach of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continued use of FateCast after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using FateCast at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access where these terms have been breached.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your country of residence.
